“Ow my head—ow, ow, ow—” Miah groaned as she unbuckled her seatbelt and pushed herself into a sitting position, more comfortable than hanging upside down in the overturned car. She looked over at Connor, and there was blood dripping from his head. “Connor?!” she cried.
He opened his eyes and blinked. “Ugh—” He wiped at his face and head, and untangled himself from his seatbelt to sit on the ceiling of the upside-down car. “Nosebleed,” he shrugged, rolling his shoulders and looking out the window.
“Gail?”
They looked to the back of the car to find Gail propping Ben up. She sighed. “He’s breathing again.”
“Well…” Miah looked around. “What do we do?”
“We need to get out of the car somehow,” Connor said, still plugging his nose. “And I need a tissue.”
“Hm.” Miah looked out the window—then she laughed. “We’re like three feet from the ground.”
Connor scoffed. “Seriously?” He shook his head and pushed his door open. “Time to get out, kiddies.”
Miah rolled her eyes and opened her door. Gail pushed hers open and hopped out. She looked around at where they’d ended up and then screamed, “Guys!”
A gigantic boulder was rolling down the slope right toward their car!
